Did you ever dream of becoming a master cake decorator, a real ace of cakes, if you will?

Soon South Bay residents can roll up their sleeves and decorate the sweet sprinkles out of cupcakes and cakes thanks to a famous pastry chef.

Food Network star and cake artist Duff Goldman, who has starred in shows such as “Ace of Cakes” and “Cake Masters,” will open the fourth location of Duff’s Cakemix, his do-it-yourself cake and cupcake decorating studio, this summer in El Segundo.

It’s set to open in June at The Works, a recently revamped retail and dining venue near Plaza El Segundo.

“I am super excited to share my love of cake decorating with the South Bay. The Works truly feels like it is the epicenter of this amazing community. I can’t wait to see the inspiration and creativity that happens here,” Goldman said in a release.

Other Duff’s Cakemix locations are in West Hollywood, Pasadena and Tarzana.

So how do you become an artist at his bake shop?

First, get inspired.

Then they’ll give you the “canvas,” which are pre-baked cakes or cupcakes covered in fondant icing but otherwise blank and ready to be decorated.

Then you get to do the fun stuff as they hand you decorations such as sprinkles, Skittles, M&Ms and other sweet stuff. You’ll also get tools including stencils, molds and cutters,  and with the help of Cakemix staff you can create some sweet masterpieces.

Plus, they clean up the mess for you.

Prices start at $28 for a six cupcake kit and $36 for a three layer cake plus a $12 per person studio fee for access to the tools of the trade.
